SCIENTIFIC REALITY AT DEATH
Option A, oblivion. Nothing more to say.
Option B: When you die, you stay on this earth, unseen by mortals. You have immediate scientific verification, by your own observation, that you look like a person. You move; you converse with others who have died; and you observe mortals. You see billions of ex-mortals on this earth, who are still people, among mortals, unseen. You, and these other people, are made of some matter other than atoms.
FAIRNESS AT JUDGMENT DAY
Render unto atheists their science; render unto believers their God.
If a scientist ran the universe, at Judgment Day, all humans, atheists and believers, would be shown how to live without aging, dying, illness, or hunger.
The first purpose of Judgment Day would be to reveal that a scientist developed this planet, using the means he had available. Judgment Day would be designed as the moment of proof.
The second purpose of Judgment Day would be to impose moral consequences on those who violated conscience to the point where they have become liars, thieves, whoremongers, and murderers. In modern terms, we might include pimps and drug lords.
At Judgment Day, all judgment, for atheists as well as believers, would be based on moral conscience, the universal (and scientific) moral standard.
If God did not love humans, and if he did not hold them morally accountable, he would be a mere scientist.
Even without God, atheists aspire for humans to be God-like. Humans are running this planet. Humans need to love one another, serve each other, and give to one another. Humans need to hold murderers, liars, and thieves morally accountable. Humans need to conquer cancer, and then aging, and death. Humans need to end all war, and hatred, and to establish peace, indefinitely (eternally).
Emotion (love), Morality (Atonement), Consciousness (I Am), Matter, and Power, i.e., the power to move matter (including all scientific laws). These things exist, for atheists, and for God, or for atheists without God.
Technology is the power to move, develop, and organize matter, whether that power came from nature, evolution, God, humans, or anywhere else. Regardless of its origin, technology exists. Galaxies exist. Mortals exist, and are high tech.
What then, is planetary policy for our evolving society? Should every atheist aspire to scientifically stop aging, and conquer death? If Earth gets too crowded, should we stop having children? Or should we have more children, and voluntarily reduce our own life spans? The simple religious answer is that God is bringing the end of the world to cure that issue, and all others. If it isn’t God’s problem, then it is ours. We’ll figure it out.
